Today, we did defending. I can now get the shots faster as coach told me to stretch out for the ball.My only mistake is that i tend to block most shots into the net, this may happen because i put too little strength into hitting the shots.I am afraid that if i use strength i may hit it too high and people may tap it. I remembered that i must have confidence in myself..i must believe that i can hit it over the net.

As usual we did footwork.. today my lobbing was bad. I did not hit it at a high point, and i did not move behind the shuttle cock but in front of it..this affected my lob as i cannot position myself to hit it. I was not fast enough today, i took a long time to reach the shot even though i know the shot is already reaching the ground.Apart from these mistakes..my tapping and droshot is better as i can better control my shot, and my strength.

25 July 08

Today, after footwork..we had drill. My dropshot was okay today as i can hit it softer so that it can go fast and sharp. My forehand lifting was bad as i took a longer time to arrive at the spot to lift...my hand was not up and thus i took an even longer time to reach the shuttle, resulting a miss shot. I realised my lifting was better in game than in stroking. My i can smash harder today...i must continue to do more pushups.

Wednesday 23 july

Today,we did racket swings.. I realised i could not swing continuously as i have less stamina and strength. Apart from that, i can swing correctly. Then we did netting..my netting was not sharp but i can at least bring it over the net..my hand was not high enough to touch the shuttle. Besides that i only stayed in a position..coach told us to move to get the shuttle while i just stayed in 1 position...that is one reason why i missed many shots.

Today,we did footwork as usual.. After that, we did 3v1.. My dropshot has improved as i can now control my shots to any side i want..the onl problem is that my drop can be quite high sometimes and my opponent can tap easily..My smash was not bad today.. i can hit it at a high point but i did not have enough strenght to smash it down.

18/07/08

Today,we had footwork as usual. After that coach asked us to do tapping. I was tapping with Ju Kai , i was told by coach that i need to bend forward to tap and keep racket up at all times. After that,we played game..my mistake for today was smashing and dropshot.. i can control my dropshot but i sometimes do not hit it high enough and it also applies to my smashing...this caused most of my shots to go into the net.

On today's training.. We did not take responsibility to take the shuttlecocks to the hall... as a result, coach punished us by giving us physical for 2 hours.
I think that we deserve it as we were not working as a team....only doing our own job and think that all is done...we have to also remind others what else to bring or take the initiative to bring them...
From today's physical,i realised that my stamina is not very good as i stop halfway at most footworks... I need to do more pushups at home and spend some time jogging outside..
